Revenant XSpark (RNTX) has pulled off one of the most explosive roster overhauls in Indian mobile esports ahead of the winter season. The organization officially announced the return of championship in-game leader Tenzin “Shadow” Kelsang, alongside the signing of 20-year-old rising star Harsh “Phoenix” Khandelwal, who hoisted the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 5 trophy with Nebula Esports in September.
The newly assembled five-man lineup will make its competitive debut at the Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2026, marking a tactical reset following the team’s stumble at BMSD 2026.
The Return of the Architect: Why Shadow’s Comeback Matters
Shadow spearheaded the greatest golden era in Team XSpark history. Under his leadership in 2024, the squad achieved a rare domestic double by winning both the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 in June and the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 in September.
Following Team XSpark’s merger with Revenant Esports in October 2024, Shadow remained with the team until August 2025 before taking stints with Team Versatile and Meta Ninza.
“Bringing Shadow back means a great deal to us—he was the central architect behind some of our greatest moments in BGMI,” said Rohit Jagasia, Founder and CEO of Revenant XSpark. “Winning BGIS and BMPS in the exact same year is etched in our community’s memory. Fans have been asking for his return, and we are thrilled to bring him back home.”
Phoenix Adds Proven Championship Firepower
Joining Shadow is Phoenix, one of the hottest entry fraggers in the circuit. Phoenix played a crucial role in Nebula Esports’ dominant run at BGMS Season 5, where the squad topped the 18-match Grand Finals with 210 points to secure the ₹40 Lakh grand prize over Gladiators Esports and Orangutan.
With championship rings from Rising Championship Season 2, Rising Star Invitational 2026, and BGMS Season 5, Phoenix injects immediate fragging depth and top-tier LAN composure into the lineup.

Tactical Shift: Relieving NinjaJOD from Shot-Calling
The defining strategic change centers around the IGL role. During the BMSD 2026 Grand Finals in Hyderabad, NinjaJOD handled primary in-game shot-calling. However, RNTX’s failure to secure a top-six finish locked them out of the BMIC 2026 LAN in Mumbai.
Following the tournament, Head Coach Explicit confirmed that NinjaJOD would step down from calling rotations to focus entirely on front-line combat and utility support. With Shadow reclaiming the tactical reins, NinjaJOD can return to his natural, aggressive role as one of the country’s most lethal pure fraggers.
Operating with a five-man roster introduces healthy internal competition. With four starting slots available on the drop plane, daily scrims leading into CEGC will dictate the starting four and bench rotations.
Competitive Debut: CEGC 2026
Revenant XSpark’s new roster will test its chemistry at Skyesports’ ₹75 Lakh Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2026.
- Tournament Start: Online Phase kicked off November 3.
- LAN Grand Finals: December 11–13, live in Chennai.
- Group Seeding: RNTX has been drawn into Group B, setting up high-profile clashes against GodLike Esports, Team Outrage, and Blitz Esports.
With KRAFTON India opening the official BGMI transfer window on November 15, Revenant XSpark has set the pace for the winter shuffle by locking in proven leadership and LAN-winning talent.
